Post-Publication Discussion

Automech: Jurnal Teknik Mesin welcomes discussion of articles after they have been published. Post-publication discussion helps keep the scientific record accurate and allows readers to raise questions, share insights, or point out possible errors.

1. How to submit a comment

Readers who wish to comment on, question, or raise a concern about a published Automech article may send an email to the Automech editorial office at [Automech email address]. The email should include:

  • the title, volume, issue, and DOI of the article;
  • the specific part of the article being discussed (for example, a section, equation, figure, table, or data);
  • a clear and objective explanation of the comment or concern, supported by evidence or references where possible;
  • the name, affiliation, and contact details of the person submitting the comment.

2. How comments are handled

  1. The editor reviews the comment to check that it is relevant, specific, and written in a professional manner.
  2. Relevant comments are forwarded to the corresponding author, who is given the opportunity to respond.
  3. The editor shares the authors’ response with the person who submitted the comment.
  4. If the discussion shows that further action is needed, it will be handled in accordance with the Automech Correction and Retraction Policy or the Automech Allegations of Research Misconduct policy.

3. Guidelines for comments

  • Comments must focus on the scientific content of the article, not on the authors personally.
  • Comments must be respectful and professional. Offensive, defamatory, or irrelevant comments will not be processed.
  • Anyone submitting a comment must disclose any conflict of interest related to the article, in accordance with the Automech Conflict of Interest policy.

4. Discussion outside Automech

If a Automech: Jurnal Teknik Mesin article is discussed or criticized on other platforms, such as social media or post-publication review sites, Automech may contact the authors for a response and will take any necessary action according to the policies above.
