Based on text-based teaching, the English syllabus emphasizes enhancing the learner's ability to use English in various types of texts. Text is learned not as a final goal, but as a tool for performing various activities in real life. At this intermediate level, teaching materials consist of simple texts. The purpose of this basic competence text analysis is to conduct mapping related to the basic competence of knowledge and to evaluate the content of basic competence in accordance with the context and needs of English learning. Types of text analysis using content analysis. The results of the analysis are expected to contribute to the development of a more systematic and comprehensive SMA / MA / SMAK / MAK syllabus
