FROM DAILY TO FLUENCY : MELEJITKAN KEMAMPUAN BAHASA ASING DENGAN AKTIFITAS BAHASA HARIAN

Abstract

Kompetensi bahasa terbagi atas dua; kompetensi grammatical, dan kompetensi komunikatif. Kemampuan menguasai kedua kompetensi tersebut merupakan tujuan utama dari pembelajaran bahasa. Namun demikian tidak semua orang mampu menguasai keduanya, dan Pesantren merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan yang telah memiliki satu sistem pendidikan bahasa asing yang terpadu, terpadu antara pendidikan dan pengajaran formal dikelas dan aktifitas belajar bahasa diluar kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis kegiatan harian di Pesantren Putri Al Mawaddah yang dapat mengembangkan kompetensi bahasa siswa, khususnya kompetensi komunikatif. Dari penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa kegiatan kebahasaan tersebut dilakukan setiap hari, diantaranya: pemberian vocabs harian, penggunaan bahasa harian, membawa kamus kemanapun pergi, penyediaan language input yang memadai, lattihan pidato dan kursus intensif bahasa bagi siswa baru, menghafal kosakata malam hari sebelum tidur. Dari sekian aktifitas bahasa harian maka siswa terbiasa hidup dan berinteraksi dengan bahasa target.
