PENERAPAN MODEL KOMUNIKASI TERAPEUTIK PEPLAU PADA PASIEN PENYAKIT FISIK DENGAN ANSIETAS

Abstract

Ansietas merupakan salah satu masalah psikososial yang dapat terjadi pada kasus penyakit fisik.  Jika tidak ditangani dengan serius dapat berpotensi terhadap terjadinya masalah kesehatan jiwa mulai dari ringan sampai berat. Oleh karena itu peran perawat sangat penting untuk mengatasi ansietas pasien. penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan Model Komunikasi terapeutik Peplau pada kasus penyakit fisik dengan ansietas. Desain penelitian menggunakan quasi eksperimental dengan pendekatan pre-post test with control group. Sampel penelitian adalah pasien penyakit fisik yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eklusi,  dengan tehnik Simple Random Sampling didapatkan jumlah sampel 14 responden kelompok intervensi dan 14 responden kelompok kontrol. Hasil analisis statistik dengan uji T-test menunjukkan  nilai  Ï value < α yang berarti bahwa ada perbedaan  ansietas sebelum dan sesudah pemberian intervensi baik pada kelompok kontrol maupun kelompok intervensi, serta ada perbedaan ansietas antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok intervensi. Diharapkan perawat dapat menerapkan pelayanan holistik di semua unit pelayanan serta menerapkan model komunikasi terapeutik Peplau pada seluruh tindakan keperawatan.
