Abstract

Tourism is one of the sectors that is the largest contributor to foreign exchange in increasing a country's economy. The Covid-19 pandemic which resulted in instability in the tourism sector due to all tourism activities from policies to ban on crowds to launching the spread of the pandemic. So that it will be important in tourism recovery to increase tourism power during a pandemic to provide progress and maintain the course of tourism as a support for state income. Recovery efforts are carried out in a community-based tourism program known as Community Based Tourism which prioritizes the tourism potential of the community. This CBT will be a strategy in developing the tourism sector, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic that is hitting Indonesia. As a result, the tourism sector has experienced a decline so that CBT can be a strategy to restore potential in Indonesia. The method in this research uses a literature study approach. The purpose of this study is to see how the sustainability of CBT as a collaborative process between the government and the private sector as a strategy for the recovery of the tourism sector throughout Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that Community Based tourism can be a strategy in efforts to restore the tourism sector with collaboration between the community and the government and the private sector which creates community-based tourism in various regions. So that the CBT will be run by each region in collaboration with the government for tourism institutions properly.
