Humans have a pair of kidneys located in the right and left abdominal cavity vertebrae. That's because on the right kidney there is a large liver. Kidney is wrapped by a kind of thin membrane called 'capsule'.The location of the left kidney is higher than the right kidney.

Glomerulus: A blood filtering place that will filter water, salt, amino acids, glucose, and urea. Produces primary urine.
Bowman capsule: Is a kind of bag / capsule that wraps the glomerulus. Bowman capsules were discovered by Sir William Bowman.
Cortex: This is the part of the kidney that contains malpighi (glomerular and bowman capsule) bodies, proximal tubule and distal tubule.
Nephron: Is a place for filtering blood. In the kidney there are more than 1 million nephrons. 1 nephron consists of the glomerulus, the bowman capsule, proximal contraceptive tubules, henle arches, distal contracular tubules, and collectibular tubules.
Medula: Consists of 9 to 14 pyramid shaped parts. Inside is the henle arch and tubular collector.
